What would you still like to achieve (in life, leisure or business)? In business greater overseas growth. In life more travel especially India and the USA!
What do you think makes India an attractive destination to do business? The scale of the market, the rich trading culture between the UK and India.
What sectors do you think will thrive in India and the UK in the coming years and why? In India I would say technology and transport. The country is shuddering through its industrial revolution and the infrastructure requires massive investment in its roads, rail and inland waterways network. In the UK we have world class education and science industries and an extensive maritime and ports industry on which we remain hugely dependent, as 95pc of everything we trade arrives and departs via sea. We will remain a maritime nation.
What is the best business advice you have ever received? Be honest.
Favourite destinations in India and why? I am still very much learning about India but I love the spectacular old buildings of South Mumbai surrounded by giant palm trees and games of cricket my favourite sport.
Favourite destinations in the UK and why? Liverpool because it is home and for its passion. Trafalgar Square and Regent Street throngs with infectious and inspiring energy.
Favourite restaurant in India and UK? Jagmandir Lake Palace in Udaipur is one of the most spell binding locations for a dinner you could imagine and I am fortunate to have taken my wife there. In UK the Cholmondley Arms Cheshire and Piccalinos in Didsbury close to home and always good.
