The Confederation of Indian Industry and Deloitte are due to report on India-UK technology opportunities at the state-of-the-art Manchester City Football Academy.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 24. It comes shortly after the high-profile launch of the report at the India-UK tech summit in Delhi, on November 7, by PM Theresa May and PM Narendra Modi.
The main priority for India-UK collaboration in 2016 is research and innovation. With bilateral trade at over £16 billion last year, Prime Minister Modi believes that India and the UK are ‘an unbeatable combination for enormously successful partnerships’.
The theme of the report is to illustrate successful technology collaborations between India and the UK in three sectors – digital healthcare, smart cities and advanced engineering. It will also explore potential areas of co-operation and the likely impact.
Jon Corner, The Landing CEO, and Tim Newns, CEO of MIDAS, will be attending the event as two of the panellists. Several government representatives and industry experts will bring to life some of India-UK successes through case studies at the event.
The event schedule is as follows: 15.30 Registration; 16.00 – 18.00: Launch event; 18.00 – 19.30: Drinks, canapes and tours of the Academy.
